Surface Finishes

A&G Fabrications range of aluminium louvres are available in a variety of finishes to satisfy any design requirement.

Powdercoating

Powdercoating is the most readily available and commonly used coating system as it doesn’t chip and flake like conventional paint. It is a cheaper and safer option and because there are no liquid paints, solvents or fumes and it requires no drying or layering.

Powdercoating offers a wide range of colours and colour consistency. At A&G we offer a palette of off-the-shelf colours as well as a custom colour matching service where this may better suit your needs. A variety of metallic and pearlescent finishes are also available.

UV resistant finishes protect the aluminium and are easy to maintain. Depending on the specifications and requirements of the installation, warranties are offered and range from 5 years to 15 years.

A&G Fabrications powdercoat their products in-house using Dulux Powdercoating solutions.

Anodising

Anodising is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of the aluminium.

This process increases corrosion resistance and surface hardness. It has proven to be a highly durable finish, the lifetime of which is dependant on the thickness, density and seal quality of the anodic film. A&G specify only the highest quality anodising in all cases. The colours available are typically a deep metallic lustre, the common choices being matt natural or silver anodised.
